About me
I've studied in the film and television industry for over 3 years and is ready to move into working in the industry doing documentary directing and freelance editing. My career aspirations of journalism led me to a creative industries course in 2022 which introduced me to the critical analysis of film and the editing process, as well as the production of factual content.
In this space of time, I've worked on a number of productions in a number of roles, and I have enjoyed most taking on leadership roles in the factual film and video scene. I created a short-form video on the Forgewood Boxing Club for BBC Social Connects after my first venture into documentary, Courtside, was well received by my peers and the lecturing staff at college.
I personally oversaw the development and edits of both of these pieces of factual content and gained skills in interview technique as well as structuring scripts for documentaries and completing paperwork to an industry standard to ensure I would make it onto the BBC's platform.
My current goal as I move into a filmmaking course at Stirling University is to learn as much as I possibly can about the ins and outs of the creation of factual content and also to continue adding to my portfolio projects I can be proud of. I would love to do more collaborations with other creative filmmakers who want to work together on fictional or factual projects.
